The OEC works closely with Islander Catering (Chartwells), a nationally known, professional, in-house catering service to design the perfect menu for you. Chartwell is the exclusive catering and foodservice provider of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. With Executive Chef Ian Woodward on staff there is little, if anything that we can’t do. From beverage service and a light snack to a full-service plated dinner, we can custom create delicious fare to accent your event.
Buffet and Plated Service Options
Our buffet and plated service meals are designed for 25 guests or more. Options include a wide variety of breakfast, luncheon, and dinner selections. We offer more than 40 themed buffets and Perfect Plate lunch and dinner options that include beef, chicken, seafood and vegetarian options or let us design a meal for you.
Our array of hot and cold hors d’oeuvre selections can stand alone as a lavish and striking display or be passed throughout the event by our professional wait-staff. Our selection of hors d’oeuvres can be complimented with cocktails, mixed drinks, beer and/or wine to serve as the perfect prelude your dinner.
Breaks and Working Lunches
With a number of tempting break options, we can custom create the perfect break package to satisfy your guests. Whether it’s a taste for something sweet and salty or healthier snack options, we can prepare your breaks to be served as a buffet or to-go style for your convenience.
There are more than a dozen choices for your working lunch. We offer everything from salads, sandwiches, wraps, and themed luncheon options to keep your guests going throughout the day.
Our desserts are so decadent your guests will want to enjoy them first! There are over 15 different desserts to choose from including cheesecakes, layer cakes, cobbler, pies, mousse and custard variations. Some of our desserts are so sinfully good words can’t possibly do them justice.
